What data we use and why
| When | Data | Purpose | Legal basis | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First visit to the site's main address | IP address | Working out your country, to show the site in your language | Legitimate interest | Not stored |
| Booking form, email or phone | Name, email, phone, dates, number of guests, message | Replying to your request and handling the booking | Steps before a contract, and the contract | Up to 24 months after the last contact, unless you book |

The country is worked out on our own server, using a local database, and your IP address isn't sent to anyone for this. Requests and bookings are kept in our internal management system, on the same server as the site. With Booking.com and Airbnb we exchange only the occupied dates, never your details.
Who we share it with
- The company hosting the site and email: I4W - Web Solutions, Lda (Innov4Web).
- Our accountant and public authorities, when the law requires it.
- Google and Meta, only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies and those tools are switched on. This may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards set out in the GDPR.
We do not sell your data.
